think globally, act locally.... hmm interesting idea, but I don't think Shrub and his neocons get it.
that is pure rep-logic. we do the bad cause others do it too. don't you see that you are sacrificing all you claimed america stands for by doing so? your statement brings you actually down to the level of all these extreme, corrupt, stupid whatever you want to call them, regimes. is this your peer group? i am afraid US power and influence has long gotten out of hand. since the current admin shares your view 1:1. you just try to get away with it. BUT you are a democracy. YOU cannot blame it on a military, fashism, religious regime that surpresses you. you are DOING this! but actually you seemed brain washed by fox news. amazing how propaganda still works. take the media and you can control the thinking. half a sentence of kerry outweighs a war of bush. works. on fox.
you don't seem to get it. we are blowing up the whol thing here. and you obviously are not aware of that on a per head basis, the average US citizen is the biggest energy consumer in the world. just look at the size of your ridiculously huge cars. your gasoline is too cheap and once you run out of it you go over and invade other countries. and you point on others and claim justice. actually it is nice with you nicky. i am afraid the real defenders of rep-politics are better seated in their arguments ...
I said earlier GW IS a serious issue; apparently you automatically thought I thought GW was not serious as I thought Kyoto was a joke. They are two very different issues. GW is SERIOUS and KYOTO is a joke. Do you now understand my position? It is hard to believe GW is taken as a serious issue unless and until a treaty emcompasses all major emitters. BTW-today's headline, China will emit more green house gases than the US by 2009!!! China is EXEMPT from Kyoto; ergo that is why I think that treaty is a joke. Don't post comments on other peoole's posts unless you first read them. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/07/b...1f15db49d2b390&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss DS
actually, volcano's are the largest contributor....saw a piece once where one volcanic eruption a few years back in the 90's contributed more then the past 100 years of industrialization ion the world combined.....but its always better to blame the US
Human activities contribute far more greenhouse gases than volcanoes. The 1991 pinatubo eruption cooled the Earth for a few years afterwards (due to aerosols, not greehouse gases). Volcanoes haven't contributed to the recent global warming.
