DealForFree.com...NO COMMISSIONS on stocks or FUTURES

  1. I have actually used this firm, the spread appears to be low but don't be fooled. This firm makes it's own market based a combination of futures and cash market prices. I have personally seen there price quoted 70pts adrift of the cash market (DJ30). Additionally placing an order can be difficult, if this company does not wish to trade at a particular moment in time then they will re-quote. Additionally once you have pressed buy/sell it can take a very long time for your order to be fulfilled. If you are trading intraday then by the time you place the order you may well find yourself very quickly testing your stop.

There are other firms out there that offer spreadbetting, by the time you add up the costs they are not so different from this firm, it's a question of whether you pay all of the cost on opening the trade or a cost on each end of the trade. However most of these other companies trade at the price showing when you press buy/sell. Personally I use IG Index.

    :p
