Daytrading With Moving Average Crossovers

    did anyone ever tried 10min time frame with 10 SMA and 10EMA.
    on some days looks perfect.

  2. Thanks for the charts...looks like what you posted could warrant a closer look by larrybf (the thread started).

    Hopefully it wasn't the particular MA setup that was causing him so much problems.

    Thanks also for posting some charts. A lot easier to do instead of posting it works or doesn't work with no proof. :cool:

    The very best use of an MA is simply the relation of current price to the MA. It is a simple, old concept. But very powerful.

    Backtest price deviation from MAs and eventually you will realize that market prices and movement are far from random.

    Why? Because an MA represents historical trader and investor consensus on price and value. Couple that with volume, and you will have yourself a solid position system.
