Daytrading stocks using charts only

  1. Just wondering how many stock daytraders trade off of intraday charts as their main method of entering and exiting a trade. I can see on the volatile days how it can work well and keep you in a trade longer.

  2. I do.... this is of course because I trade equities like AAPL and NEM, where things move fast and I have yet to understand teh tape and T&S's yet. So I fall under this.

  3. Thanks for your response AAPL is one of the stocks that is both thick and has some smooth moves on the charts. I'm looking to get into trades where I can risk 30 cents or so and go for .50 - 1.50. Only a 1-3 trades per day per stock if it is trending well on the day but I'm still ironing out my strategy to trade thicker more volatile stocks off charts only. I like the way GS trades technically as well.
