    db,

I sometimes trade your breakout method in the Simplicity thread. But it seems that whenever I don't take a trade, it works, but when I do, it turns out to be a false breakout. I think your method also has a lot of validity. Do you have any other tips/updates on how to use this method effectively?

    thanks,
    lux

Yes, but I won't be posting it until the issue of moderation is resolved. I don't have time for the Walters of the world.

This almanac is by Yale Hirsch.

I would not trade based on it,
but I would refuse to take a trade based on it.

For today, I'm long or I'm gone

No. You may want to re-consider the aspect ratio on your chart window. I've noticed that some of you have your windows so scrunched-up that practically any trend at all looks like a strong one. Therefore you end up taking trades that are hardly trending at all. Having a misleading aspect ratio also lengthens the candles/bars so that nearly every candle looks like an expansion bar that's really going somewhere when it's really going pretty much nowhere.

The 45 degree MA test also is greatly dependent
on the aspect ratio of the windows.
