  3. Since this thread is dying a slow death anyways, I thought I would post a slightly off-topic though here.

You guys are nuts to not be range trading!
    Why?
    I'll tell you.

You are looking for break outs, but if the market isn't breaking out, then it is...ranging!

You already know what it is doing, so why not capitalize on it? I've been combining my breakouts with range trading today and on one contract I've picked up 18 points. I'm stopping now before I jinx myself, just thought I would say if you aren't considering trading ranges, you might want to.

Gee, I didn't know your authority takes precedence over the 1st Amendment!!!

JR's contributions far outweighed his colorful style.

Uh oh, I've gone from being a good man to just having potential. It's a slippery slope and the downward slide continues....

    you know what ?
    I was wrong.
Johnny is a great guy. I should have accepted the language and clear expression of his opinions about others faster.

    I am sorry.
after all, a few pages of insults and name calling in a thread of 60 pages is not much. I should have put that in perspective.

btw : johnny does not want the thread moved.

So start a thread, bagger. Carry on in the spirit of JR: complete details, full disclosure. Otherwise, you're Walter in disguise.

  10. If you want to see how I traded today check out my post in the thread on daytrading ranges. I can't really post a system because at the moment I don't have one, I just bought near support and sold near resistance. Really the only guidlines I have to offer at this point are 1. Make sure it is a nontrending day by looking at the net price movement of the day and 2. Keep an eye on volume. It provides valuable clues. 3. Of course, STOPS, STOPS, STOPS. I can't wait to try trading like this more but I am moving to CA tomorrow and won't be trading for at least a week, so I will start posting again then. Good trading in the meantime.

Add: I guess it is a good thing I am away for a while. I can think on that LONG ASS DRIVE on how much of today was luck, and how much skill. If it was skill then I am a rich little piggy, and if it was luck, then at least I picked up some gas money.
