I found out that ALLDAYTRADER.COM is just a web site that passes you on to ALLIANCE, they get a referal fee for doing it Karen is the customer service person in new york that is a go between alliance and the software people the software is the same as speedtrader and realfast trader alliance has been in business 6 years, this daytrading part has only been around for 2 months?????
Go direct if your going to open an account. Here is my previous post with the correct link. I do not have an account with them and I do not endorse them. I do not support or criticize trading above/below 25k. I am just posting the link forward in this thread to help those who want to try this. I DO want those of you who try this, to please keep us updated. I find this work-around confusing and am curious what the SEC does with this. The internet brings a whole new meaning to the the term "Global Business". Jurisdictions are crossing over each other and companies can exploit the myriad of rules till it gets sorted out. I can actually imagine someday that this world will be "a one system global economy", but this world is not there yet. A companies success should not become dependant on "working around" regulations. The fact that they do not advertise or seek out clients in the USA is the technical "work-around" being exploited here. If they have just discovered this "workaround the PDT rule" 2 months ago as one poster said, then their business model did not originate with this PDT work-around. IMHO, by introducing/exploiting this new idea, will be their downfall, and expect a "Cease and Desist" order to arrive soon, but again this is just MY opinion. All it will take is a few complaints to the SEC which is impossible to avoid when operating a brokerage. The PDT rule was brought about because of all those day-traders claiming they fell victim to the "lack of regulation", so the SEC did something about it. Michael B.
Thought you guys would find this interesting, since there have been alot of people jumping to conclusions about how www.Alldaytraders.com might be a rip off or whatever. I ran into some short term personal finanical trouble and had to remove all my funds from Alldaytraders. I requested all my funds and got them by wire without any problems. I'll probably fund with them again in about a week and continue trading once I get this personal stuff worked out. Just wanted to tell you guys that they definitely aren't stealing anybody's money. Thanks, Russ
Well I've been with Alldaytrader.com for the past 2 weeks. Been trading like I always did with realfast and I have had no problems. There short list is updated every morning and I have no problems in lot size on my shorts. Been playing IPIX all week in and out short/long positions without a problem. I do have a large amount deposited with them. My BP intraday is 4 to 1. So far so good no problems. There customer service is excellent. I'll keep you guys posted in the next few weeks.
I refunded my acct with alldaytraders this week and I am day trading now with only $4000 in my account. It seems to be ok on all levels so far. I'll keep you guys updated.
Kewl, Alliance is a sponsor here now... Positive threads that don't cross the boundries of free advertising and abuse in ET, actually have the honor of being sponsors here...congrats Alliance! Michael B.
Well going past a month now with http://www.alliancetrader.com. No problems. Short lists are very plentiful on NASDAQ stocks. Been shorting and going long without a problem. Slippage is very minimal. Wired money to my MM account without a problem. Still a happy clam. Will keep you posted.
HERE IS A QUESTION FOR YOU TRADERS. I AM NOT NEW TO TRADING BUT NEWER TO DAYTRADING AS I WAS A BROKER FOR 20 YEARS BEFORE DOING MISSIONARY WORK. I AM NOW IN THE SITUATION WHERE I AM ALSO UNDER $25K FOR DAYTRADING. THE PROBLEM WITH SOME FIRMS IS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MANY OF THE STOCKS FOR SHORTING PURPOSES SO WHEN YOU GO TO TRADE THEM SHORT YOU CANNOT GET THEM. HOW ABOUT ALLIANCE AND ALL DAY TRADERS? I AM CURRENTLY USING TRADESTATION SOFTWARE AND DEAL WITH THEM BUT CANNOT DO MORE THAN 3 DAYTRADES IN A 5 DAY PERIOD SO AM BASICALLY LIMITED TO SWING TRADING. AS FOR PROP FIRMS, THE TESTS ARE NOT THAT EASY. I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THE SERIES 7 AGAIN AND THE SERIES 63, I DO NOT KNOW IF I WOULD PASS IT WITHOUT REALLY STUDYING A LOT. MANY BROKERS HAVE TO TAKE IT 2 OR 3 TIMES JUST TO GET THEIR LICENSE. WANT TO TRADE INDEX FUTURES AND NEED SOME GUIDANCE. I USED COMMODITY AND FUTURES BROKERS SOME TIME AGO AND I TOOK THEIR TRADE SUGGESTIONS BUT LOST ALL THE MONEY I GAVE THEM AS THEY KEPT GETTING STOPPED OUT. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED, AND BY THE WAY, GOD BLESS YOUR TRADING!
how does that tradestation work, is it pretty good? did you have any problem shorting with tradestation? the software looks pretty good, that matrix thing is nice, you can trade from many places on the site, commisions aren't too bad if you trade under 1000 shares lots, you do have to keep 25,000.00 for daytrading, but its direct access and they give you your buying poer over and over anybody else using tradestation? thanks
THANKSFOR YOUR INPUT ON ALLIANCE. WHAT DO YOU USE TO FIND YOUR DAYTRADING STOCK LIST FROM? OR SAYING IT ANOTHER WAY, HOW ARE YOU FINDING YOUR BEST DAYTRADING SETUPS? ANY INPUT FROM OTHER READERS FOR THOSE WHO TRADE LESS THAN $25K.
