^ Dude, you are in the wrong place - press the back key, and find another thread to troll.

Leave this one alone, cos what is being posted here is of considerable value to some of us.

Well, to quote the original response in message # 2, "It's 100% BS".

That said if there is anything of "considerable value" in this thread please share that with us.

All I've learned is that romeg doesn't have enough money in his account to day trade. You do know about FINRA rule 4210 right? Not sure why someone would trade the SPX, with a notional value 10x the SPY, in a small account but to each his own. There are of course certain tax advantages to tradng the SPX vice SPY.

But I do agree with his statement that ".. Virtually ANY legitimate investment will generate a 100% ROI given sufficient time..:

I have a concours 1957 Bel Air convertible Chevrolet (blue) which I paid $500 for in 1965. It's now worth 40-45,000 (maybe more.)

I trade SPX only in a cash acct. What's wrong with that? Like you said, there are tax advantages. Let's mention them.
Under section 1256 of the Tax Code, certain exchange-traded options, including SPX, qualify for 60% long term/40% short-term rates, even if the option is held for less than a year.

Why would one keep such a thing? Because it doesn't hold water?

Do you mean why would I keep my BelAir?

@Romeg are you still doing IC's on the SPX? Would like to see if the low vol is making this a little harder.

(PS - ignore the negative comments from dickheads here, like the one above.)
