  1. "IB's applications have been submitted to the Canadian authorities. A few people are in the process of being registered as well. Hopefully approval will come sometime during July and August at the worst."

Any update on approval yet Def?

    Thanks.

  3. Canada is a socialistic country with strong anti-american
sentiment - just out of principle they should not allow
daytrading. In fact all commerce and trading activities
should be controlled from Quebeq. If you want to trade
there you should pay taxes to Canadian and American tax
agencies as trading stocks as we know it was invented in
    the US.
Further, 100 miles above the US border (to the north) ahould
be US territory anyway, the rest give it back to the eskimos.

    Or perhaps something psychoactive...valium?

The silent majority of Canadians are in fact very friendly towards the United States. We are still your largest trading partner, you know. Our right to compete in the international market is just as compelling as yours. Yank. :p

  7. I don't think Bright offers futures and also they are a "professional" firm - not retail.

spoke to the guys in canada. looks like IB's application for Quebec should be tabled in the August regulatory meeting which hopefully means approval will be towards the end of August.
