Day Trading Crude without indicators.

Discussion in 'Journals' started by mfbreakout, Jan 28, 2012.

  1. He was keeping parallel journals and one day decided to post only on BMT- too much work having 2 journals he said.

I recall once Big Mike asked for some proof that the trades were real, but he refused. Said something about not looking for others money or to mentor people so no way, take it or leave it.

Anyway, I find his method sound.
Will check him on BMT for update, thanks for the info

  3. I wasn't aware that big Mike has asked for proof. I'll have to see if I can find that particular exchange.

Not surprised that he declined, though. (can't show what you don't have!)

Anyone who's ever tried doing this each day with real money knows how hard it is, and it's actually an insult when he's throwing ridiculous, make-believe daily tick gains around.

He should at least try to make it sound somewhat realistic, but if you read his daily bullshit, it's about 150 - 200 ticks per day.

I'd imagine he's definitely doing some business off of the back of that thread. Privately Charging newbies for 'coaching' etc

  4. The exchange was back in 2012 if memory serves me well.

I subscribed to his journal at the time. One time he asked for feedback/questions on areas that people might want more clarity on. There wasn't anything of substance so I did an analysis of his trades for the day and made a long post about his style, noting that he was not a pure ACD trader but more of a price action trader.

Apparently that is not the done thing on BMT and some of his followers were upset with me, though I did get a PM expressing appreciation. I was polite and factual in my post so Big Mike did not intervene.

You can look that up while you're at it, I have the same handle over there.

It's generally not kosher to respond to old threads in the way that you did. There is no law against it, it just kind of goes against the etiquette of message boards. If it was on topic to something that was current and perhaps asking a question, that is different. But in the way you did it, it makes you look like you are him and he was bumping his own thread here without actually coming here under his own alias. Just sayin....

Yeah he came on my ACD thread and tried to start doing that crap and I politely asked him to stop. Calling out trades after the fact is a big no no and quite frankly it doesn't add any value. And yes, it wreaks of some sort of commercial pitch i.e coaching, website, etc.

Looks like like you are alone of that opinion, if I judge by the others' reactions.
But I agree with you, I am no kosher...

    I just have a question.......

This guy says he pay $1.25 a side for commish, all fees included. Something doesnt add up about that.

exchange fees alone for CL are around $1.50 a side, then commish is on top of that. TOS doesnt separate the commish and exch fee like most broker do..... so wouldnt be clear to a TOS user what exch fee was...

well well welll, looks suspicious....... MF must be lying about his commish, otherwise that would mean TOS is paying him to trade...

    ?????

also, found some 2012 stuff on big mike forum where there was controversies about MF.... people accuse him of scam and making up fake trades......
so MF admit what he posts are not always his own trades....
then big Mike ask him ""if these arent your trades, what are they?
and MF reply "" Mike if you want me to stop posting here just say so""
    hmmmmm...

And on page 452 on his thread at Big mike forum......

quote....... "" Well, I would say that it is impossible to follow or to not follow your method, as you are posting your trades several minutes after the market has started to move...
Why don't you use the same application as GaryD, or other traders in this forum, that permits to post screenshots of the live trades directly?
It would prove also that you are doing real trades, because, honestly, lots of traders in this forum really doubt that anyone in the world can catch all the bottoms and tops (more than often quite to the tick) days after days...""

then found this post, guy from hedge fund says he and his coworker think MF is a fraud
    https://www.bigmiketrading.com/trad...-crude-without-indicators-453.html#post277977

Sorry but I think this MF guy is not credible.....

  9. Of course he's not credible! Doesn't take a brain surgeon. I'm just amazed that the guys over at bigmike lap it all up so much.

They must be mostly very new traders, demo traders or the most gullible bunch on the internet. Maybe all three!

'Trades' always posted about 10 minutes after the fact, averaging about 200 ticks per day, no matter what sort of market conditions/day type is thrown their way!

When I posted in that thread, I made a realtime call with a stop and target. I then made another post stating that I didn't like how it was behaving and I was looking to get out, and he (mfb)PM'd me asking me to delete my post. In fact, if you look through the thread, you'll see lots and lots of deleted posts where he has PM'd a member.
He doesn't want real trading. He doesn't want people to question his complete bull$hit.
He needs to feed of gullible newbies, because he's likely charging them money through the emailing system, for 'coaching'!

On extremely rare occasions, he'll make something that at least resembles a real time call. Unsurprisingly, these usually tend to fail! (much harder when there's nothing but fresh air to the right of the chart)

    Look at post no. 8834
He calls a long at 96.20. (close enough to real time).
The market them dropped hard down to about 95.00!

Sure enough, his next post (no. 8844) He's answering his own question of ''how did I know to shirt at 96?''. Err.....you didn't?! You were LONG apparently.
lol. Then he just gives some hindsight BS. Amzaing

Surprised that bigmike's let it slide for so long

I have to give the guys at bigmike some credit though. The dude posted on ET for years in his journal and no one called him out on it. I think maybe at the very end someone said something politely and he just left. But it seems like it's ET that is the patsy here, not bigmike.
