Thanks for sharing all that and the clarifications and your observations in this thread. There are obviously a lot of different ways to trade. Best of luck trading this week.
02-13-2012 Monday pre open. Overnight inventory long. Will be interesting to see how NY traders respond to Glob-ex session micro bullish stance. CL 30 days number line is -13 vs E-min 30 days number line is +18. Basically means to sell any rallies of CL at resistance and be looking for longs in E-mini on pullbacks. Where to short CL ? as it has many resistance levels. It depends on a trader time frame, stop loss, intra day MOST IMPORTANT PRICE LEVELS as set by Market makers etc.. CORRECTION: Quote of the day should read " What did not happen in the market is more important than what happened in the market"- Jim Dalton
01-13-2012 Failed A down set up off euro session low of 99.37. 2 trades +86 ticks. This idea That market makers like to test 3 boxes on majority of the days is i got from Shopster after he posted his charts. Thanks shopster. 3 boxes: Asian session High and Low euro session High and Low New York session High and Low.
02-13-2012. Clues to add to position size if one is short in the morning after 100.30 POC level was not defended this morning.
02-13-2012. CME has halted CL futures. Praying that i do not get stopped out 40 ticks higher than my stop loss of 99.71 when it opens.
I am quite familiar with CL trading and see that you consistently can pick tops and bottoms within 10 ticks and capture the meat of most moves without any losses. Truly remarkable! I have never seen anyone else do this in my years of trading without losses of significance even though their system had a positive expectancy. I have yet to see any compelling evidence that your system has any criteria or rules that would produce these kind of results consistently. (And yes, I have read all of the posts)..(And yes I have read both of your base books). I will be open minded if you can make your 100-200 ticks/day while calling trades live for just 1 day.......
