Day trading basics

  1. I am not related to any TEB.

I am just an enthusiastic in trading, learning and sharing.

I strongly believe that a natural way to learn is to share.

If someone doubts that i am sharing things with some selfish intention then i would agree 100%. Sharing for the purpose of learning is healthy selfishness. :)

  3. I have completed the transition from selling to sharing.

When a trader begins to make 10 times revenue from trading than from coaching then this transition happens naturally. Until then coaching may seem to be a profitable one more than a learning hobby.

One day I may become a sponsor here in ET as a business coach not trading coach. The real stuff is in business approach not in trading techniques.

Trading is far beyond a profession or self employment. Trading is business.

All vendors are highly professional, competent, knowledgeable, dedicated and experienced. However, I am yet to hear a vendor sound like a businessman.

Guess I made my point. :)

  5. Twelve-step program? "I'm Raj, and I'm a vendor..." ;)

  6. Its actually one step program. One principle. One priority. One focus. But it is not free. You need to give your 100% to learn it. :)

Confucius was a great Chinese philosopher.

    Some of his quotes:
Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it.
It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.
Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

Business has multi facets : Profession, Art, Science, Philosophy, Hi-competence , Total-responsibility, etc.

Yet, it operates upon one simple principle.

  7. What do you guys think about day trading in the future? Will it be profitable in 3-5 years? (I mean for a regular human being)

  8. On any given day, intraday chart is a blend of noises and predictable patterns. It needs some patience and creativity to distinguish between those patterns. Probably 5% of the traders have that in them. So whether it is futures or stock, there is always profitable opportunities for those who have these two qualities. :)

  10. o_O:finger:....a bunch of vague, theoretical, copy and pasted wisdom/advice from stale, dead, old trading/investing books.
It passes from generation to generation, but never dies.

It's like asking a smart, sophisticated college professor...to apply all that he knows to start a real business in the real world that will succeed...and he looks at you like he just saw a ghost,
