    THE BIG SQUEEZE

These charts I think capture one of the most incredible moves ever made in modern trading. It’s a real move of Volkswagen officially in the Swiss Stock Exchange but the chart corresponds to the one in the LSE (VKW.L) on how Porsche rip off hedge funds and “roiled the world financial markets” as The Economist put it.

It shows the power of longer timeframes and how consistency, patience and price analysis are the key for successful trading.

*** The fundamental reason was Hedge Funds getting squeezed on the short side by Porsche … read the last The Economist "Squeezy money" for details (pg. 75)

But that’s not all. Look what happened if you hold it for a few more bars. At one point on October 28th VW was the most valuable company in the world !!!!

The distortion on the chart is because is impossible to plot such a move in normal scale.

Could a regular small trader have taken this trade without the fundamental analysis behind this move?

Yes, using basic tools. This is a weekly chart. The analysis is not rocket science. A 50 WMA for macro direction, a 25 HMA for waves and WMA 12 as a trigger. Enjoy ...

  6. how does this method compare to AHG?

  7. 1a2, I havent studied AHG in depth, but it deos bear a lot of similarities, the biggest difference I beleive is that this trading method focuses more on much shorter time frames whereas AHG looks at something a bit longer.

From my understanding, Jirvats method shoots for small scalps (10 pips...) whereas Anek tries to stay in the trade until the trend is over, i.e. until a conflicting swing (HigherHigh -> HigherHigh -> LowerHigh) is made...

Both methods base on price/wave analysis...
