A little better using the rules I just mentioned. edit - i think this chart is wrong because I might not have waited for confirmation of the FastMA.
Avery, Can you please post the entries and exits you made based on this chart for June 27th. Thanks in advance.
Iron fist, when the day we'll come that you'll understand that more rules = later entries and later exits will be the day you'll be a good trader.
And you always try to pump your lagging ass indicators. Readers must realize the chop kills this method. This thread is full of false hopes. I challenge anyone to automate this, including comm and slippage and report back. Based on the rules it would be cake. I assure you, the equity curve would be ugly as hell over a long period of time. With all the backtesting I've done I do realize that. My point tho was that on the pics TRO posted, the only way to enter based on his rules was after the confirmation of the bar color change. I learned that the hard way, too, during live trading with a demo account. I would say "ok, enter when x is green" or whatever. And it would turn green and I would enter. And then it would turn red and I would lose money, because the candle hadn't been completed yet. Therefore, on a "enter on x condition" system, the only way to know 100% without a doubt that x condition is met is to wait until the completion of that candle and enter at the open of the next. The pic that TRO posted looked very pretty, but following the rules he laid out was not profitable due to the fact that you can't enter until the completion of the color-changing candle.
You guys are missing the point. Pumping indicators? Yes, that's right, I am so busted. I pump out a new indicator every other day or so...LOL! Seriously, I use this on the M1 time frame and scalp for 5 gross pips. I enter my TP, right after I am filled. Since I don't use a fixed spread broker, the spread doesn't matter to me. I use mbtrading.com So I can sell on the Ask and buy on the Bid.
Chop? I don't see any chop. Slippage only happens to those who are not savvy enough to use LIMIT ORDERS. These indicators mirror jjrvat's method.
