I happy to read that I'm not the only "old timer" on the board. I got started after I moved to Hawaii and started "jonesing" for the action at the race track. A friend suggested I should check out the stock market and that's what got me started. I "progressed" into a very active "investor" just in time to get beat up in the crash of 1987. Ouch! But I survived and stayed with it...my "active" investing became something close to what we know today as swing trading. The commissions back then where just too high to trade as frequently as today. Well so am I (but not by much). That's what we really need around here, a group of old farts with another reason to be on line when we (read that "I" ) should be watching the ticker. Jim Old is having to use hot keys because I shake too much to use the mouse.
