FTSE/XINHUA CHINA A50 Index futures Lately, it is getting very tame; volatility is shrinking very badly. There is not much major news from China. Time to adjust the parameters. volume : 500V to 350V Max stop: 30 ticks to 15 ticks
Exploded view point 3 - end of retracement / start of trend continuation You should be on high alert. And your finger should be ready to pull the trigger. Look at the hilited blue candlestick. It has a shaven top (a short upper tail is OK). Enter a tick above it ie enter at 920.1 So max loss 13 ticks ( 920.1 - 918.8 ) My typical max loss is around 15 ticks. If you enter at 921.1, it is a very late entry. Max loss is 23 ticks!!! You wouldn't get a good reward : risk ratio.

I don't bother so much about the news as professional writers, not professional traders, write it. Professional writers' target audiences are generally investors, not traders.
China A50 volatility has shrunk. Anyway, I have adjusted the trading parameters to take care of that. The last time I adjusted it was a decade ago. India Nifty Since 1 Jul 203, the Nifty movement has been rather jerky because of the new Gift Nifty thing. Nifty NIF's daily volume is around 30k / day. I think the volume will grow and when it grows, movement will be less jerky. HangSeng Still quite tradable. As in the China A50 case, there are relatively fewer major news / events compare with what happened years ago.
