Lost $660 fake money on the 30 pieces of QQQ put option. Actually my paper trade positions was slightly short rather than long, if not considering the penny stocks. I should not have bought any put for hedging, but I did not bother to modify because this is paper trade. Well, for the seriousness of this journal, and for a better simulation of the real trade where these kind if crap does happen, this loss is counted.

    So

    Total Realized Paper P/L: -$300.
    Total Unrealized Paper P/L: (+$1410).

    Real Money:
    INAP 1600 out at 1.3 -$110
    Total Realized Money P/L: +$3720.

  4. You seem to be doing much better in your real money account than in the paper account.

Why not just close the paper account. Aren't you afraid of losing it, and then you'd wipe out your real money gains.

Although both are running on the same strategy, there are two important differences.

    1. I am in fact less diligent and less careful when doing the real time paper trading. I should take it as serious as real money ones, but simply can not because it is paper trades after all. The priority comes in behind my fulltime job, my real money trades and my family.

    2. My real money account is not that large, so the result is more random. In my case, I got lucky from my BCON trade (+$4000). So it is not convincing at all.

Note to myself: I need to be more diligent and more careful in my paper trades.

Also I accounted about $900 loss in the careless and oversized QQQ put options in real-time paper trades. If you exclude that, my paper trades is mildly positive in the range of a few hundreds.

(Looks like today is going to be rewarding):) I believe, even with these paper "write-offs", my paper trades will make consistent money nevertheless.
