Day 1 of Chrysler Hearings

  1. Obama says its going to take between 30 to 60 days.

Does anyone else have an over/under on how long it might take?

  2. To do what? Destroy the rule of law? I'd say he accomplished that yesterday.

I guess being close to his role model Hugo Chavez emboldened him to play dictator. Maybe he can send ACORN mobs out ot the hedge fund managers' homes to rough them up.

  3. I'm thinking it will be another $8-10 Billion needed every 30-60 days to keep them going.

  4. Why not just close Chrysler and send the money directly to the UAW? That way we could save on legal expenses at least. Plus, it would have the benefit of showing the public where their money was going.

  5. I think that's what is happening now. I don't think Obama gives two shits about the automakers in the abstract. The only reason he cares is because it would destroy the UAW if the automakers went out of business. The damage to the union would end up killing a lot of donations to the Democrats, and that is what Obama is worried about. If the automakers were non-union Obama would just let them fail.
