I notice that most of the discussion threads here are about the DAX. Just went "live" on Eurex quotes and am thinking that the ESTX50 would be a better way to get up to speed, b/c of the smaller contract size. However, if the DAX has much lower volatility, that might be preferable. Plan to scalp .1%-.2% moves here and there in the morning, 12am my time (PST). My biggest concern is limiting planned losses. Thanks in advance. Unrelated Q: as a US resident, would I also have to file a German tax return if I wind up with capital gains? I used to price German tax leases and don't relish the prospect of dealing with (complicated) German taxation.
