Data fee for your non prop accounts?

    If you file a u5, are not registered with any firm, or as a CTA or RIA and open the account in your name and not an entity, you can likely get away with "A Non-professional Subscriber" fee. The definition might not be uniform. Your series 7 does not expire for two years, but after the u5 is filed, you're no longer registered.

    If you open an account at a firm like mine, we offer broker neutral platforms. Our clients don't contract with the data providers, either the platform or we do. So, in that case, you would still have to pay full rates for data.
