Nothing personal, but as Dalio said : ,,Most people, will agree upon things, from rational/logical perspective, but the difficulties begins when it becomes emotional'' He also said : But being unable to justify the price is a good trait too. Such person ain't gonna overpay too often, or ever at all. In this case i would look at it, as this : What am i loosing : money or the time ? And which one is more valuable ?
Do not know anything about that one, but it took me over 10 different sims/demos, till i landed a proper one. (others were garbage, so not worth of mentioning)
Hmmnn if we talk about swings, then IB is equal to TDA's ThinkorSwim and DAS would be a second or third place. (Just personal taste, don't know any technical aspects etc, one would need pros answers for that) IB would work for swing trade testing, - delayed fills are irrelevant for getting filled on positions, which you might hold, up to a few months.
What is motivwave? Can you trade and use hotkeys in their platform like DAStrader? I am currently using Medved trader cause Das too expensive but I am on the lookout for a better alternative. The issue with Medved is there is limited setup of hotkeys within the trade ticket. The prices are not real-time in the trade ticket so when I buy on the ask and it moved up I am buying below the bid. I have to either buy at market or change the offset to 10% to meet the discrepancy. I don't know if it's any different for a paid account but it says in FAQ the trial is premium until it expires.
In MT the quotes on the trade ticket, by default are from the broker you select, so if using IB, they will be coming from IB. If you are not subscribed to IB's RT streaming quotes, then they will be delayed. If you are subscribed, then they will be real-time. That is not a platform issue, but rather a subscription issue. If you have any questions or issues, please feel free to email MT support. We reply very quickly.
