I'm sorry. Which statements exactly made you think that I trade ES. Specialist or NYSE?

I do a little options for swings which Im still learning. I see that as much more profitable in the long run.

And the rest is the wonderful world of NYSE & Gang. It's great when there are bigger game for the specialists to screw. But it's not fun when they go after your 500-1000 shares. Those hits hurt a lot.

I'm setting up my Naz tomorrow. And it seems like it's just a matter of time before I start migrating to ES.

  5. Dude.. you are playing a losers game. I used to daytrade NYSE stocks for a while.. but when the ranges got thin and it became impossible to short.. I gave up and decided to play a more easier, profitable game. Right now I soley swing trade the ETF's.

Yeah I figure it's about time to take the experience and use it for another trading vehicle.

    What are ETFs btw?

  8. You and I have talked about this situation on several occasions, so I am all too well aware of your dilemma since the NYSE names is where you first learned your trade. I too, still have a certain fondness for the NYSE names since that is where you find the Homebuilders, Brokers, and Defense stocks that I enjoy trading. And yes, it can be a real bitch at times!

I think that you are right about taking a look at the ES.

May I suggest using REFCO's Pro-Trader Platform under their Velocit-Etrader deal where you are charged $4.00 all-inclusive, per round turn? The platform is rock solid, never goes down or has any glitches, not even on an FOMC fast market type of day.

It will also allow you to trade the ZB as well, which is probably the single best trading vehicle on this planet.
