Wait for either my stop loss 1022 to get hit, or to close the trade at 3:45.

You have to read the manual, even if you are not familiar with programming

Congrats, guys. When a losing position turns to positive, don't you have the tendency to cover it right way? What can help resisting that urge?

    Thanks for any help.

having a plan i have reason to trust. and sizing as if i truly understand that saying "mostly right" is the same as saying "sometimes very very wrong".

that plus i'm used to it since virtually every position i take starts of in the red. if i could find a way to simultaneously fade myself, i would. :)

  10. I try to set a dollar amount or a point amount as a goal for my trades. Like, on stocks, 1 point. So, I start with that goal and then I diddle with it. Sometimes I feel I really need to have cash and I'll take .20 instead of 1, or 1/2, and if things are going well, I'll raise the goal to 1.5 points and sometimes to 2 points. So just starting out with a goal in mind gives me a guideline. With these futures, I tend to want to close out before the end of the day, and will settle for a smaller profit. I do feel pretty sure there'll be a point at which there'll be a chance for profit if I wait long enough. Then the question is how long am I willing to wait?

It's probably not such a good idea to wait many years, as I've been known to do.
