Well, what do you know. Live here for 20 years and still learn something new. I like Solly's, but I prefer Springcreek BBQ on Central and Beltline. I will have to try out SonnyBryant's. I am heading the Randy White's BBQ now just down the road from me in Frisco. Pretty good BBQ too. Cafeole
hi y'all if interested, we can get together for some good ole BBQ and swap war stories at Sonny Bryans http://www.sonnybryans.com If there is sufficient interest, we can schedule something on a friday (?) PM or email me at asdf_zxcv@yahoo.com --Arun
Hmm, just came back from the location on Lover's Lane. Fairly good stufff. I'll be heading back to Chicago on Monday though. Can't wait to get my regular BBQ fix. How's the response to the suggestion of Fridays' get-together?
I'm in Dallas about twice a month - moving back there in December. I'd like to visit any offices focussed on equities and talk w/ traders while there.
www.afta-dfw.org One of the Largest Tech Analysis chapters in the country. Meets once a month Sept to May. http://www.afta-dfw.org/speakers.html Update on speaker page. Click the name links for Bio pdf files. September Ken Tower of CyberTrader will be speaking specifically on using Point and figure charting for analyzing price action. October John Hill of Futures Truth will be speaking on Trading Systems. November Lewis Borsellino S&P Former Pit Trader will be speaking on 20 years of experience trading the markets. Like I said a few months ago they will slowly update the website pages as speakers are confirmed. Next meeting is Tuesday Sept 16. from 7 to 9 pm in Addison. Membership is 100 bucks a year. Personally I think it's pretty cheap for what you get across the year. Plus it's a great excuse to get out of the house. If anyone wants to meet before hand for dinner/coffee or after the meeting for the same just post a reply. Good Luck and good trading. Whoa there pardner! With an apparent abundance of traders, poker playin' cowboys, active AFTA members, guest speakers agreeable to the convenience of Dallas as an air 'n auto travel hub, and programmers and techies of all sorts, PLUS, lip smackin' Texas BBQ, Lone Star beer, and real rot gut whiskey, AND, plenty of bodacious Texas-Style Babes - you guys oughta' contact Don Bright darn quick to wrangle a right-down lock on a home date for the second Professional Trading Tour as it heads east! Just don't let those good 'ol Houston boys beat ya' to the draw...! Y'all hear.....?!
Hope some of ya'll made it to the meeting last night. Was very informative on the subject of Point and Figure charting. If not maybe try and make the next meeting. Good luck and good trading. Bsulli
