The population there increased by 162,250 between July 1, 2006, and July 1, 2007, according to a new U.S. Census Bureau report. Atlanta, Phoenix and Houston also saw their ranks swell by more than 100,000 people each.
I can see why - it's a cool city with great year-round weather. Much better than Atlanta IMO, which is very similar.
Confirmation of the obvious........the population "gain" is made up of Mexicans, Katrina evacuees, retiress from the North and rural yokels. Maybe it'll stabilize the real estate market there.
