Imo animals give far more to this world than they receive. Our own pets ask for nothing but food, shelter, safety, and love. They don't care if you are rich, poor, hated, or unpopular. You can't say the same for people. I will say, my one caveat to my original statement are those people who cannot help themselves. I'm not even referring to troubled homes or rough upbringing, as even those backgrounds can lend to strength of character if you actually refuse to allow it to define you. I'm more referring to mentally or physically impaired people. Those who, once again, do not have the actual ability to overcome their circumstances. Still, in my mind there are a million organizations, charities, and government programs designed for every type of situation when it comes to people. It's also sexy and glamorous for upper class people. They can give and milk their donations for vanity etc, and if people get helped then good for the charities. All that to say it's not as sexy for the elitists to give to animal charities, and it's sad. I see run over animals all the time and we drive past them as if their lives are meaningless, and yet animals have given far more to me in this world than any person ever has. I'm where I am because I put in a ton of study, effort, trial, error, failure, and heart. The money I saved to start trading came from thousands of hours of overtime and doing without, in an entry level job I was very blessed to get having caught a felony as a teen. It was a retail job anyone could do, but I worked my ass off to learn every position so I could get overtime anywhere they offered it. I paid for courses and educated myself every way I could. I financed my own trades and got to where I am now. I owe my success to God alone, not people. I have a cynical attitude when it comes to people, but that's only because I've been in some very ugly places, and housed with some very ugly people. That's why I tend to not have a lot of patience when it comes to people. Because if I could do it then there is no excuse that anyone else who put in the effort could not either.
