Hey would your system work for sub-sectors? It would be a lot of work but say for example under "Consumer Discretionary" you have 16 sub-sectors. (Autos, auto components, hotels, specialty retail, etc) You could set it up for these. There's 11 sectors on the S&P.... so I'd imagine there's well over 300 sub-sectors.... and even under those there are sub-sub-sectors (for lack of a better name). But I think the sub-sectors would be enough. Just a thought. Your system seems to work pretty well.... I'd love to see what it could do with this.
Thank you for the feedback and kind words. Not sure if you are aware but I do track and post a similar list for the SP 500 sectors on another thread here. However, it is still based on the 10 sectors before the recent partition/addition to make it 11. When deeper historical data is available to properly calculate the algorithms will add it into the mix. Quick breakdown of what I am tracking and analyzing with deep detailed reports daily- SP 100 stocks, 30 commodities and financial futures, 28 primary currency pairs. Additionally, just for simple momentum lists at this time also tracking the Dow 30 and the dividend Aristocrats.
