  3. Really? No other comments regarding the perversion of FOX "reporting?"

  4. The idea of Fox reporting without bias, or distorting and changing facts is obviously well known already. The extreme of actually using false footage is reminiscent of the Wag the Dog movie with DiNiro and Hoffman. Good movie, sad in real life.

  5. Why do you care and what business is it of yours? You're Canadian. The real perversion is your obsession with us and our politics.

  6. True. There is no question that FOX is utterly and completely unprofessional, and it strives to prove this daily by regularly exceeding previous limits of unacceptable behavior. But this Daily Show segment, as many others before it, shows that the FOX bias borders on, and crosses into, the realm of the bizarre. Demonstrably, FOX is morally bankrupt and, by extension, caters to a morally bankrupt audience.

  7. Stunning examples of double standards and hypocrisy. What's even more jaw dropping is the lengths these people will go to in defending the financial terrorists that brought down the entire economy. Simply amazing!

  8. To Fox News their only standard is ratings and profits.

To the right wing, their only standard is what serves the right wing.

So in their mind, the means always justifies the end.

In discussions with the right wingers (I hate to call them conservatives, because they don't believe in conservation of the environment, resources, energy, etc.) they invariably will have an end justifies the means methodology for solving problems...often rationalized by their spin on Christianity.

They don't actually view themselves as hypocrites, simply because hypocrisy in their political positions is only a means to justify their desired end. So they can lie, cheat, deceive the public...anything and everything goes, as long as they believe it justifies the end goal they have.

What is the end goal? Dismantling every single institution that gives the working class power over their own economic lives, every single government institution that provides for the common welfare and good of the society, every single government regulation that prevents them from an ounce of more profit at the expense of the public good or the working class, to bankrupt the country so that there is no money for social security, health care, or anything but guns...and no butter at all. Their vision of utopia is one in which they, and they alone, rule with impunity.

The rank and file Fox News republican who doesn't even know they are being fully duped and akin to the Muslim terrorists who actually risk their own lives for the cause of their leaders, who sit safely and comfortably in remote locations. The good soldiers don't question the marching orders of the right wing brass. The teaparty spinoff may be good intentioned, but they are still victims of the brainwashing syops of the right wing spin machine.

  9. Here's the kicker. Check the star rating on this thread. You have to wonder who would rate an expository thread that points to a video seeking merely to show the truth as plain as day to even the most dim of wit. I would really like to know who these raters are who regard the truth as their enemy.

  10. That was very well stated. (Now if only you were as lucid in the R portion of the P&R forum. :D Seriously, though, well put.)
