What, search for the creator in the bible? Lmao.
There is nothing to search for, am all equiped, am part of creation.
It's not 'out there' for one to need to go looking.
Unfortunately and fortunately, we are what we are in our upbringing and environment.
Does someone in Ukraine fleeing rockets and bombs sit on the ground or in a huddle group singing hymns? The only people doing that are church nutters like pentecostals and other cultists who live in lala land.

Unfortunately, many christians are full of words, that's their career right, spending endless hours searching for truth in a nonsense wordy bible.

    Definitely, mostly in politics.

Here in religion, it could mean bible publishers pushing what looks like a grassroots campaign to read the bible...to sell more bibles. Any other business that might benefit from mass daily readings would also qualify as astroturfing, if they are involved in this push to read daily. I suggest that every Abrahamic-Christian church is a business. Hopefully, some of the daily readers will redound to their own congregations so that the 10% will keep flowing. I would suggest that this kind of religion (Abrahamic-book-faith) is not too different from politics as there is a close correlation between priestcraft and statecraft (the book serving as a kind early constitution). Ideally, regular people will be used as tools to support one of these businesses, without even knowing it. That's an astroturfists dream, to have the campaign running on autopilot momentum.

This thread may also be an effort to distract from the "All Atheists End Up In Hell" thread, which has become embarrassing for some Judeo-Christians here (including studentofthedevil). It keeps it out of the number one spot in the Religion forum. It's a kind of flooding that also distracts minds from what Jesus actually taught, and what he meant.

  4. That man suffered from cruel people and found God to be very near to him through it all and all you can think about is "a nonsense wordy Bible."

God is real. He does reveal Himself to people, but only on His terms. You will not find God apart from the Bible because God appointed that the Bible would contain the truth about Him that enable people to come into a relationship with Him.

You can say it isn't true all you want but it doesn't change the fact that many have come to know God through Biblical truth.

    You are missing out!

"And now, O Lord GOD, You are God! Your words are true"
    2 Samuel 7:28
    Jesus prayed:

    "Your word is truth."
    John 17:17

Yes. They are unaware that problems can't be solved with the same mindset that caused the problems to begin with.

    I borrowed this from Wiki....

According to the gospels, Jesus said the greatest commandment was to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.” The scripture in Deuteronomy to which he referred is known in modern times as the Shema, a declaration emphasizing the oneness of God and the sole worship of God by Israel. In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus contrasted worship of God and running after material possessions and warned, “You cannot serve both God and money.”

Paul warned the Galatians that those who live in idolatry “will not inherit the kingdom of God,” and in the same passage associates witchcraft with idolatry. In his letter to the Philippians, he refers to those whose “god is their stomach.” In several New Testament scriptures, including the Sermon on the Mount, the term idolatry is applied to the love of money. The apostle James rebukes those who focus on material things, using language similar to that of Old Testament prophets: “When you ask [in prayer], you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.”

You see, it's one thing to endlessly quote the bible, it's another thing to live by it.

Just a reminder about the punishment for blasphemy, which is what the bible does to any god that is actually Good. There is no punishment for blasphemy beyond what we are experiencing right now, with the caveat that what we are experiencing can get worse...a lot worse (for example, the democrats could steal another election). However, the worst thing that can happen is that blasphemers, like studentofthedevil, will delay salvation from the current experience, and remain here, in hell, potentially forever. The good news is that hell does not last forever (it is not eternal), and the mind of Christ will be saved from and out of it. In a worst case scenario, the most determined blasphemer will be the very last to exit hell, in another million years. To be more exact, blasphemers do not exit hell, but Christ does. Meanwhile, what we are experiencing (we are not experiencing "life") is still not exactly a punishment. "Condemnation" is an effect (not a punishment). Spreading blasphemy like this proves that misery loves company.

You see, it's one thing believing, agreeing with the bible, but it's another thing doing.

Truth of the matter, we live on earth, we are flawed humans, we need to survive.
We need to have fun and interests. We need money to survive.
The bible is like a chain around your neck, bondage!
