  2. True.

But Peyton won his first Super Bowl.

Run some stats on how well QB's do after losing their first Super Bowl they are in.

The odds are very stacked against a QB who lost their first Super Bowl even returning to another Super Bowl.

  3. 16 out of 23 didn't return? But what are the stats for QB's who won in their first Super Bowl?

I think the key is that Grossman is a work in progress on a team that is ready to win right now and which probably doesn't get better from here. They don't need John Elway, but they do need someone who will not give the game away.

  4. Since Grossman didn't win his first Super Bowl, your looking at winning QB's is not very relevant.

Grossman is a loser, please Bears fans, especially the ones who were saying Grossman was good enough to beat Colts (and the Colts did not play like world beaters)...check yourselves into some rehab and take a good look at this bedwetter....

AAA, we can both think of probably 20 QB's off the top of our that give them a better chance to win right now....and can you imagine Brady, or Peyton, if on the Bears, having lost that game?

Why is it that we can accept the Peter principle so easily in business, but fail to see it in sports? Grossman is bedwetter, get used to it. During the regular season, no pressure, he choked things away. So it was not just Super Bowl jitters. If this was a cool cat and he had one bad day in Super Bowl, that is one thing, but that is not he case here.

The window can close sooooo quickly, injury, jail time :D , suspensions, free agency, other teams improving, etc.

    Get er done NOW!!!

    No excuses.

  5. And yet you have failed to highlight the FACT that Manning simply "checked-down" and threw the ball underneath the Bears cover-two defense. Even Urlacher said that.

Oh, and that 53 yard TD pass to Reggie Wayne . . .
That was on blown coverage. You failed to mention that too.

    :D

  6. The Defense that the Bears played was "Cover-2".
And with a great QB like Manning, the Colts were able to "check-down" all day long to those shorter "underneath" routes.

    Not all that complicated, really.

  7. Just got back from the game tonight. Tuff loss for the team. QB's looked awful except for the new kid, Hanie. Could be a long year. Upside was a beautiful night for a game and the "Fridge Burger" I had at Ditkas was delicious.

  8. bears are a messsssss!

killer D for 4 years but mgmt. does NOTHING to try and get an offense....the definition of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results....i can't believ they are still doing the 'rex grossman experiment"...wouldn't Chad pennington be an upgrade over what they have?
