  2. OK, good, four no's would have been better but at least I know I'm not dealing with a Bible literalist, which is pointless exercise.

We'll take this step by step if you please.

Do you agree that the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere have gone up about a third over the last two hundred years and that the CO2 is mostly due to the burning of fossil fuels?

BTW, to answer the question of why I make such a big deal about this.

I have a BS degree in environmental science since 1977. I am not in the field but have a small trade business. I have seen the science on this develop over the last 35 years and followed it's research. Early-on there was good reason to be skeptical. But as time progresses, computer models prove-out, world temperatures increase, the Arctic ice melts, CO2 continues to rise and the oceans start to acidify it becomes inescapably certain. I'd rather it wasn't.

This may sound corny but I feel it is my civic duty to try and combat the huge gulf of understanding between the science and the public who get no info on this since it's so politically charged.

AGW is not the end of the world but it sure as hell is going to make it tough on mankind. And the longer we delay the worse it's going to be. If we are a moral people and believe in the core Christian principle of altruism we must shoulder this problem for the good of our great grandchildren.

    And yes, I am a tree-hugger.

    1) Do you believe there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe?

    2) If so, do you believe this life has visited Earth in person or by probe?

    3) Do you believe in alternate universes, dimensions, time warping or anything similar?

    4) Are you over 30?

    5) Do you have a scientific masters or PH.D?

    6) Do you believe socialism, Marxism or communism is superior to capitalism as it is practiced in the U.S.?

    7) Do you believe the U.S. Government should determine the morality of individuals?

    8) Do you believe the U.S. Government should forcibly collect money from one group of citizens to give to another?

    9) Do you believe the U.S. Government has the right to save us from ourselves against our will?

    10) Do you believe the U.S. Government has a right to insert itself into our lives more than it already has?

  4. No it wouldn't have been... anyone who "thinks" they "know" about intelligent design, doesn't.

As I've said, this makes you well-qualified to run a recycling center.

We're way past you getting any respect from me and you've also picked the wrong day to take a run at me.

  6. Env Sci is not waste management, so in fact I'm not qualified to run a recycling center. Well maybe.

So you can't or won't answer the first most basic step toward some sort of meaningful discussion. Are you afraid of being backed into a logical corner and facing your ignorance? If I'm such an idiot what do have to be afraid of?

Sorry you had a bad day(not really), if it makes you feel any better, so did I.

The problem here is that the analysis mentioned by the above parties pertains to solar output, not instrumental measurements of Earth's surface temperatures, which futurecurrents is indicating. So, there is no disagreement there, NASA confirms solar output trends, and warming trends.

Because I don't discuss atmospheric stoichiometry, ocean dynamics, thermodynamics or meteorology with an undereducated self-important ASSHOLE!

    On Ignore!

  9. Well maybe you can educate me. Is there anything wrong about my statement? Have CO2 levels not gone up some 35%? Is it not from man's activities? I'm willing to learn.

  10. Well that's one way to insure you keep believing what you believe.

It's the cowardly, closed-minded ideologue way, but it's a way.

Anyone else want to take up the question(s) ?

If this guy is really that smart he should write a book debunking AGW, standing the science on it's head, and make a fortune. But he's not.
