Look at Sweden, if it wasn't for the Media scaring everyone, we could of just protected the old / ill, in the UK, not lockdown get it spread asap with few deaths as it's only killed 1000 ( 800 with health issues, 200 without ), be over soon and old / ill could be back out enjoying what's left of there lives pretty soon. UK, the lockdowns where 2 - 3 weeks too late for the old / ill, intentionally I think, by the time the lockdowns had came they'd already had it. From my GF, who used to be an ICU nurse: nurses and respiratory therapists are getting $10k-$15k per week to work in COVID "combat zones" like NYC, etc. A quick search of the web confirms. And given how many nurses and doctors we're losing due to insufficient PPE, etc., that's only going to go up.

It appears that you have no idea what the term Defund The Police means. It does not mean abolishing the police. It means to take some money, and functions, allocated to police departments, and shift the money/functions to other government agencies. For example, why does a cop have to be called to handle a routing traffic accident? Defunding the police is already happening, largest example is New York City announcing a $1 Billion reallocation last week.
