  1. I have been trying to move/delete threads for the last three days at about 10 threads an hour. I cannot keep up.

You seem to be confusing a poll/request/appeal (i.e. based on consent & free choice) with violent force and compulsion - the two couldn't be more dissimilar.

I'd categorize the post as trying to make this place more useful for traders over the next 2-3 days.

Obviously everyone is free to ignore it and post about anything they want - after all, I don't own the site. I'll be focusing on the trading and trying to trade the best of the most momentous period in the markets for at least 7 years. If you want to spend this time discussing politics, religion, which CNBC talking heads are hotter, or other topics, more power to you.

  3. Socialism does not require violence to get started, only to enforce. Ask Obama or Hillary.

  4. More useful to traders? LMAO. I don't think 5 times in 7 years here I've read something that incited me to take a position. (other than CONTRARY sentiment). Lottsa decent info on the biz itself but ideas? From these clowns? That's why I'm on the phone 3 hours a day.....

    "Trading"

"Open discussion on all aspects of day trading and short-term investing."

I'm sympathetic to your cause. But judging by the poll results, almost no one else is.

  7. I respect you, Ivanovich and respect the original poster, Cutten.

    But reality is reality.

As far as equities go, there is not much of a market to trade.

When it is all sell and no buy, I do not call that trading. Particularly, when the Gubmint has chilled shorting by banning so many stocks now and who knows how many more to come?

I am a professional trader, but I have not been trained to trade a market which is at the mercy of political whim.

I have went to the bunkers, and the money in my brokerage accounts has been moved to what I hope is more secure places.

Lots of traders are riding out this storm much as fisherman ride out the storm with their boats hopefully safely moored.

That is what you see here, traders with nothing to do, riding out this unprecedented financial PERFECT STORM, shooting the breeze while kicking back their favorite beverage, until cooler heads sound the all clear.

As I said, I appreciate both the moderator's and the original poster's point of view, but we are seeing and experiencing markets that have never been seen before.

  8. No doubt, mate. I understand. But there is a chit chat forum for yapping. This is for trade related info. Most just click it because it's the first forum on the page, that's all. They have no consideration for keeping the topic in play.

Some make 4, 5 even 9 or 10 threads in the same day, pretty much about the same topic. They don't even think to continue to expand on their own thread and try to get a conversation going.

If you guys REALLY want to see what this forum will look like if I stop moderating it, I can do so for two days. You'll see the crap that piles up until it's no better than a Yahoo board.

Or take a stroll through the chit chat forum and read some of the posts in the top 10. They were in this forum once.

  9. I want to say that I appreciate moderators, and that I appreciate what you are doing. That said, if I were trading, I would be posting a lot less.
