Can I export data in excel and get customized scanning filters built? If so what are the limitations to using excel? How fast is excel at updating and reporting data? Can a direct link be built from excel to any charting package that supports excel exports so when I hit a ticker symbol in excel my charts would load and update on my charting package? May I ask the traders here on elite who customize their own scanning filters and indicators what programs they use to build these filters, indicators and the data feed they use for their tick data. Can these traders point me in the right direction so I don't get ripped off. What type fo questions should I be asking when I approach a programmer to build my custom scanning filter and indicators?
