Yes and so we had the middle ages where Christians killed and tortured. however Christians evolved out of that, partly because there is a large section in the Bible which is supportive of peace. i.e the new testament.
The Koran on the other hand has a sentence or two that supports peace and non-violence but pages and pages and pages that actively encourage (or demand) violent Jihad against non-believers.
There is a typically ludicrous liberal/commie idea that if the Muslim nations get richer that all this violence will stop. In fact as they get richer it builds their faith that GOD supports them, and also allows them more time and weapons to kill the unbelievers.
If by chance one of the Araba nations had the power that USA has we would certainly have a world run in the manner of the Taliban, or at best Saudi Arabia, no matter how much slaughter it took to get there.

So we're back to why most conflicts are in OIL PRODUCING muslim nations. The flow chart below sums it up nicely.

NEOCONS (Bible Thumpers) <----> Wahabi House of Saud (Koran Thumpers)

NEOCONS support and prop up Wahabi House of Saud using the CIA <----> House of Saud gives Billions in oil related "business contracts" to NEOCON leaders

Koran Thumping Wahabi <----> Fund Wahabi religious madrasses worldwide

CIA <----> Recruits Madrassa graduates to destabilize muslim oil producing nations.

Destabilized nations (+corrupt propped up leaders) <----> new billions of oil contracts to NEOCON Oil men

NEOCON oil men <----> Spend Billions in Supporting and electing NEOCON Bible thumping politicians in Congress and the W.H.

Go long Google, they're the ones that made all the worlds information easily accessible to inquiring minds.

Christians don't torture or kill each other any more mainly because Christians and Christianity could not establish their theocratic tendency. It used to be, to all intents and purposes, the next nearest thing to theocracy, with the power of God vested in Kings. But even the New Testament in trying to cover over the nasty horror stories of the Old Testament and the Torah did not save the Church from being denied the full holding of governing power. In the west, it was democratic law which took hold stopped the political Church its right to invoke the word of God, thank goodness. Not any religious “law” or the contrived noises of peace within in the New Testament.
Islam, being a theocratic Religious Law of government and governing is at the root of the poverty and decline seen and suffered by many Moslems. Whilst it got things going for them so long ago, it did not evolve away from religion as government, thought to be a most catastrophic mixture as far as development and progress and the well being of citizens is concerned, and is said to have contributed a great deal in their own and others troubles.

I agree, the last thing we need is religion in politics. One of those is pretty much enough to fk up things plenty on its own. Of course I also agree 'cause you are THE moderator and if you say it was the new testament which made Christians peaceful then it was, because God supports them too and democratic law base has nothing to do with anything at all. :)

  5. I think the difference is that Christians may be involved but they are not invoking the conflict in the name of christianity where as muslims always use their religion to justify their crimes.
