1.10pm EST: The first day of A-day seems to be about over... that was BEAUTY IN MOTION... just amazing stuff!! That'll teach the terrorists to never attack us again... we shoulda gotten more than a few thousand killed in this glorious first night of A-day... we are slowly but surely gettin' our retribution... Well done USAF and Navy, we love ya!
1.14PM EST: We are now attacking North Iraq... soon we will have secured the neat oil reserves around Kirkuk... but we gotta hurry, cos the evil Turks wanna get their grubby hands on that oil (which explains why they wouldnt give our troops right of access to Kurdistan through Turkey)...
yes, msfe, you are right. That's why Iraq's future is incredibly bright! I would love to own some real estate there (the prices have already been going through the roof in the previous months as the market has once again shown its beautiful elegance in predicting the regime change and concomitant bright future)
Our retribution for what? This is not an act of retribution. This is supposed to be about defending our national security, not about retribution.
Scratch one of Saddam's palaces/command centers off the list. Just beautiful. (PC advisory: please note, before being accused of glorifying in the suffering going on, be advised I am not in any way delighting in any collateral damage that may be occuring. End of PC advisory)
all US laser guided precision bombs/missiles missed their "strictly military targets" (Rumsfeld) - and incidentally destroyed the 1925 built Palace of the Republic, a historic building of absolutely no military significance whatsoever.
You must be watching Al-Jazeera or something. CNN reported that the palace that was destroyed was acting as a command and control center and was deliberately targeted. "Incidental"? Hardly...
