I would suggest basically No for all schools including religious schools. Impractical, isn't it? However/therefore a "Religions Review" with same/standard/identical contents would be optional/elective for all schools including all religious schools. Including a small % time for a school to teach their own religion. It's not a Comparative Religion course at all.
OddTrader, I am curious : were you raised in any religious setting? if so which one? if not: how comes you discuss about religion?
I think everyone should be/feel free to discuss religion(s). The impact of religion historically to the society/world has been too great to be ignored. Particularly about religion wars! Killing too many innocent lives, children included! I am quite interested in peacebuilding issues, religion hence included! Just a starter anyway!
I was asking because many people have had a bad - and I mean really bad- religious education, thus have developed a lot of negatives toward religion. Peacebuilding is a very good thing. What is the main things that make peacebuilding difficult?
I don't know. But everyone should be able to do her/his part (s)he thinks fit! Probably lack of investments/developments in 3 interrelated areas: - Knowledge/Research/Analytics! - Long-term systemic/dynamic modelling (economics, politics, resources, taxes, etc.)! - Education/Poverty/Equality! What do you think? Your interests in any of them?
These areas seem to cover the various aspects. Yes, of course I am interested about these areas. Here are few things that might of interest to you: and These could be helpful tools in peacebuilding.
Oh, but that's nonsense. If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Alice in Wonderland Creation myths don't confirm scientific theory. In the beginning, at big bang, there was no light and nothing to make the heavens and the Earth from, no waters of the deep and no vaults below .
