http://www.slate.com/articles/healt..._bills_to_teach_creationism_have_evolved.html While these bills are sneaky, Matzke’s handy chart shows that it’s possible to find the common roots of these sorts of anti-science efforts. In his words: “They are not terribly intelligently designed.” So thank you, Dr. Matzke, for revealing these bills for what they truly are: religion in disguise. And thank you, creationists, for providing a robust teaching tool for a theory you claim does not exist.
Brilliant intelligence, a truly beautiful mind! Alarming words!! Q https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_M._Krauss Lawrence Maxwell Krauss (born 27 May 1954) is an American theoretical physicist and cosmologist who is Foundation Professor of the School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University, and director of its Origins Project.[2] He is known as an advocate of the public understanding of science, of public policy based on sound empirical data, of scientific skepticism and of science education, and works to reduce the influence of what he opines as superstition and religious dogma in popular culture.[3] .... Activism Krauss has argued that public policy debates in the United States should have a greater focus on science,[22][23][24][25] and that the public have a right to scrutinize the religious beliefs of Presidential candidates in the ways that they relate to public policy.[26][2 UQ
imo, IF God does really want us to know/ understand/ comprehend (assuming our human intelligence is up to the bar) what His tricks about His creation/nothing-triggering-nothing-becoming-something/etc. were, perhaps we then should simply let it be! Further, we can hardly change the creation process/protocol that was already done in the past. If we can, it could be extremely dangerous! Are we going to try anything, anything in mind yet? Otherwise, there could be another fcae-book alike project! Spending too much time/energy for Not-Things! While leaving hungry people still hungry, war-zone people still fighting/killing/be-killed! It doesn't mean to stop all research about the universes! Mainly a priority issue! Just 2 cents!
typical elitist. He starts off saying he can't prove there is a God or isn't a God, and then he defines God as a puppet master controlling peoples lives. You atheists are way behind us believers in your spiritual evolution. You still think God is an old man in the clouds. If you want a believer to agree with you that there is no God, just tell us what your version of God is and most likely we will readily agree with you. otherwise, why don't you do a little research and keep your Sunday School crap for your elite meetings where you make fun of people who you think think like you do. The rest of us have moved way beyond. for instance, there are very few scientific theories that are not also confirmed in the ancient texts, most notably, The Big Bang. We just say God said Let There Be Light, now, if you want to discover just how He did it, well, then that is science. so in some respect, at least for us believers, science is understanding the power of God and his whole creation and it aint easy being a believer, there is no rest. After we finally understand how he did the big bang, then we have to start thinking about what was He doing before He started Big Banging?
Atheists don't believe in God, but believe in superstition. A simple scenario. When an atheist buys a house : visit the house, all is perfect, the finances are perfect. Just one signature left. Make this test : just before the atheist signs the final signature, just say "euh!!! I have to let you know: in this house was a family of 10. They all died in there killing each other". Check how many atheists still sign without finding an "escuse".
shit man, I'm a believer and I'm not going to buy that house. Like the man said, "Thou Shalt Not Tempt Your Lord and God" That's why I never pray for God to keep me safe when I am driving on bald tires.
