  1. That makes sense.

You are following the science rather than wild speculation.

I am sure Cuomo appreciates that.

Biden is probably done in 2024.

I don't think Coumo would have gone after Biden but if Biden announced he wouldn't seek reelection many would challenge Kamala imo with Coumo being the strongest.Another strong competitor also has a lot of problems(Newsom)

  7. Absolutely.

I am surprised at how little attention is given to the fact that his interaction- if taken as true- with Assemblyman Kim wherein Cuomo allegedly told him "I can destroy you" is in fact an abuse of power - and an impeachable offense. None of us is/are naive and know that chief executives do in fact destroy people and have the power to do it. Nevertheless the person in power has to at least play the game in a roundabout way and cannot directly threaten a person through the exercise of official power. They can threaten to do things that they are legally allowed to do- but "destroy" is not an officially sanctioned power.

I understand that the women's issues get more attention for a number of understandable reasons and that's fine, but holy shiite, that was a hard threat he put upon the Assemblyman and indirectly upon his family if as alleged.

It is most excellent to see them begin to look at that type of thing. Americans got rid of King George III's sorry arse for that type of thing particularly as exercised by his bullies to whom he had delegated power in the colonies. Typical New York behavior. Probably a cheap shot on my part, but there it is. The New York behavior was a challenge for Trump to manage as well, so there ya go lefterrhoids, beat ya to it. No paid post for you.

  8. By the end of the week, Andy will be missing the good old days when all he had to worry about were the calls to impeach him for running death camps for seniors.

Yeh, the karma bus has made a trip to Albany.

The mainstream media does not report much but if you look at other developments it is pretty serious. In the same time period as when he and his staff were deep-sixing nursing home elderly death data, Andy recieved 800K in an advance from Houghtin Mifflin/sp for his book about how he was a covid management genius and just a saint in all ways.

So there he was with a book which was well ion its way to making him over a million- well over- but if the data and true picture surfaced he would have people calling for his impeachment or calling him a Nazi Death Camp general. We know which route he chose and it has blown up in his face.

The ones who defend Andy, the dems supporting him, argue that they should await the results of the investigation related to the women. As I have said before, not really, some/many want to impeach him on the covid thing. Also, womens accusations fall within the jurisdiction of the impeachment process. They can determine the facts by calling witnesses there. Just as they did with kavanaugh. It they wish to do more investigation they can consider it there in the senate and appoint as needed. Just as they did with Kavanaugh. The State Senate decides by majority vote whether it wants witnesses or more investigation.

Let me provide my thoughts on this situation. Most of the allegations involving Cuomo's interactions with women are "light-weight" infractions from a HR department standard. They are behavior where a company would assign an executive involved in the behavior some extra sensitivity training, and tell him to stop. Cuomo did not sexually assault anyone and none of the purported sexual harassment incidents are egregious.

However the apparent reality demonstrating Cuomo actively engaged in covering up deaths in nursing homes for political gain -- an issue which is criminal in nature (if true) -- appears to be completely forgotten now that these sexual harassment claims have come forward.

The entire situation really brings to the forefront the perceived (and comparative) value of human life in the minds of the media and public. Cover up the killing of hundreds of people - No Problem. Accused of minorly harassing a few women - BIG Deal.

  10. Kind of a weird dynamic there. The comparisons to the kavanaugh scam and clown show arise frequently, except kavanaugh's situation was partisan right straight down the line. However, Cuomo has plenty of dems against him, including the senior dem leaders in the legislature. As I have said before, my take is that they are working toward positioning some Plan B person who is more progressive. I had stated that I thought that it would be the rabid AG there. However, I did not at that time realize that New York has a Lt. Governor. But that person is female, if I can use that term, so most likely they see her as a progressive to hold the position until Miss Black, Female and Rabid the AG can run in the next election.

Not saying that it will go that way. Just saying the feel like they can frig around with this impeachment thing and still come out a winner. You will recall that when they thought it through in Virginia, they realized that removing the governor and the lt. governor for rape would result in a republican taking the governorship. So they suddenly realized that there was nothing to see there.
