Actually, Dusty Baker made mention of the fan and placed blame on him by saying he did not understand how a fan could do that, and that the fan should have given Alou the chance to catch the ball. That sucks. He of all people should have said it was not the fans fault, and the Cubs were responsible for winning or losing.
As soon as that inning started, I mentioned that I was surprised they left Prior out there. In these games, relievers do better when they start innings with no one on base. They were asking too much of Prior.
