So CSX has announced it is exploring selling the Greenbrier. CSX has disclosed it lost $35 million on the property, but I've got to think a lot of that was the $50 million renovation they just completed. So, here are some of my questions: 1) What kind of revenue do you think Greenbrier had? They have 721 rooms. 2) What other sorts of "strategic options" would even make sense for CSX to pursue at this point? My gut says this would be a more modest trade-down for Sam Zell instead of the massive Starwood interest he has.
