interesting since its dropped 10 pts from november report and jumiper reported great earnings in january...Might be a huge bounce or dud.
  2. you mean to say that csco will rise or fall after releasing earnings?

shit man, that's a radical prediction, how did you come up with it?
  3. They may beat earnings, but I doubt they will give a positive outlook.

    I got puts!
  4. Their GL gives them some flexibility because they can do a quarter end close in less than 2 days --- many larger companies require 3-7 days

in a good or even 'ok' quarter --- they can 'pre-close' quickly and decide whether to book additional revenue to the next quarter

they do it all the time - and ifyou notice they generally 'beat by a penny' ..... (if you like pro-forma numbers that is)

CSCO almost always beats by a penny and Chambers is almost always way too conservative.

I wont play their earnings after my last quarter blow up on csco. (i was long and chambers flopped.) I would probably short it in this market.
