I don't disagree with you. I just point out that Israel would not be in such a dominant position without the support of the US. That military, financial and diplomatic support is what is giving Israel their uncompromising stance, particularly towards Palestinians, something that the same UN who recognized Israel also chides Israel for their treatment of Palestinians. Hamas and the other terrorists groups exist and fill their ranks because of that resentment. If you cannot recognize the humiliation suffered by the Palestinian people then you contribute to their resentment and neverending cycle of terror. As one totally removed from this centuries old conflict but supporter of Israel's right to exist and live peacefully with its neighbors, I think Israel needs to make bold decisions that their right wing electorate would consider heresy. Yet, the solution could also be to further affirm its rights by dismantling all the armed groups within its reach. The atrocities committed by Hamas is the beginning of a new era for Israel's relations with the rest of the middle East and Egypt. Nothing will be like before.

I think both sides should come together and move towards the middle. Palestine and all of the Arab countries should recognize and accept that Israel IS AN INDEPENDENT SOVEREIGN COUNTRY and is here to stay and stay until the end of this earth. And Israel needs to stop expanding. According to Wikipedia, this is what constitutes Israel: "Israel (/ˈɪzri.əl,-reɪ-/; Hebrew: יִשְׂרָאֵלYīsrāʾēl[jisʁaˈʔel]; Arabic: إِسْرَائِيلʾIsrāʾīl), officially the State of Israel (מְדִינַת יִשְׂרָאֵלMedīnat Yīsrāʾēl[mediˈnatjisʁaˈʔel]; دَوْلَة إِسْرَائِيلDawlat Isrāʾīl), is a country in West Asia. It is bordered by Lebanon to the north, by Syria to the northeast, by Jordan to the east, by the Red Sea to the south, by Egypt to the southwest, by the Mediterranean Sea to the west, and by the Palestinian territories – the West Bank along the east and the Gaza Strip along the southwest." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel So from this description, both the West Bank and the Gaza strip do NOT belong to Israel as they are Palestinian territories. Israel has occupied them militarily since the 1967 Six-Day war but they are NOT recognized Israeli territories, not by international communities including the United States. So the solution is simple: Israel needs to confine its own a$$ within just its defined borders: Lebanon to the north, Syria to the northeast, Jordan to the east, the Red Sea to the south, Egypt to the southwest, the Mediterranean Sea to the west, the Palestinian territories – the West Bank along the east and the Gaza Strip along the southwest. They need to get the hell out of the West Bank and The Gaza Strip. Just because you militarily occupy them doesn't make them yours. And at the same time, Palestine needs to get rid of the terrorist group Hamas. What they did is nothing short of terrorism and nothing justifies what they did. I mean I can understand a little bit of where they are coming from but what they did is still wrong and cannot be condoned. Both sides need to confine their own a$$ within their own borders and stop bothering each other. And the rest of the world needs to chill and stop egging them on and stop using them to fight their own wars. Both the Israeli and Palestinian people deserve to have peace. As to the rest of whatever arrogance or humiliation, that's all bullshit, unnecessary emotions that get people into trouble. There is no arrogance or humiliation. This is a land dispute, pure and simple. So you give back the land that's not yours and you recognize the land that is others and everybody goes on their own business. There!
Hahaha. Will do! You're very well written, keep putting your thoughts forward as you continue to formulate your opinions. No one has the all the answers and its all about provoking/promoting thought and discussion.
It's all that and more complicated. To date, Israel controls everything going in and out of Gaza, including UN and other assistance funds. That's a basic point of sovereignty which Palestinians don't have (and land encroachment by right wing Israelis). Another serious point of contention is water, not just for Palestinian territories but also Israel. Personally, I would remove Hamas from Gaza, regardless of casualties to their ranks. Then I would ban weapons in Gaza and finance an election there, with significant financial support for the elected government to develop their infrastructures, school, healthcare, etc. provided that only the police force is allowed to have a side arm.
