First time I've heard about it, I'll get involved with the second tomorrow if it's still around. Need to decide on what to sell, not holding any bitcoins at the moment. Good promising concept, the multiplayer games like league of legends pull ridiculous prizes. Would be good to have that on a less competitive level, great idea if they can pull it off. At the moment esport prizes are mainly in big equivalent 'televised poker tournaments' this could potentially have people betting a couple of dollars in a half day long tournament to potentially win ... I don't know 50 dollars. It could be an exciting area to be in. Currently kids who are good at games are valued at either 0 or the best in the world, this could open up a huge group of gamers to semi pro status, in a similar vein to small stakes poker. Seems like quite a big if though so a small allocation.
I will be visiting ET infrequently for the next several months. Maybe some people can continue this journal or create a parallel crypto trading journal. Ciao for now.
I guess BTC, ETH, CPC and DAO are the few digital currency coins that worth trading these days due to their price and higher demands.
In theory, when the BTC price at a Chinese exchange is much higher than BFX, Polo, etc. but the price difference of LTC is not very different on those exchanges, one could move BTC from, say, BFX to OKCoin and then sell BTC there for LTC. Then one would move LTC back to BFX, convert to BTC and pocket the difference. I wonder if this happens much. I also wonder if it could be done relatively low risk in the time it takes for the LTC to move back to BFX. Of course, using this strategy one would not have to worry about the issue of w/drawing fiat from the Chinese exchanges (especially for US citizens). It will be interesting to see if this actually happens.
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-...-over-59-million-ethers-stolen-ongoing-attack Not cool. Just dumped all ETH until I can figure this out.
https://steemit.com/thedao/@xeroc/ongoing-attack-on-thedao---eth-draining-from-the-pot I've gone long DAO/ETH and short ETH/BTC. Seems like a hard fork may take place in eth recovering all the stolen eth and the DAO is to be disbanded and funds returned. Not a nice sight to wake up to, but there's opportunity in this carnage.
....and BFX is down for repairs.... reading up on this, it is impressive that the 27 day hold was devised to prevent crap like this.
