I get a negative vibe from you, savoir, but we had an exchange a few weeks ago that you do not have a position on Bitcoin so...

I'm an optimist. I think one has to be in order to believe in Bitcoin and crypto assets

Anyway, I don't know what you're going on about on the CNBC video but Michael Saylor spoke of many financial actions MSTR has done

Michael was a billionaire before Bitcoin, in case you did not know

Unless you have anything of substance to discuss on Bitcoin, I prefer not to exchange snide remarks with you

We are currently living in the most interesting times and the global financial system is in turmoil

There may be a lot of opportunities, but there will be a lot of risks as well, I believe being defensive is best during these times

    Good luck to you

"follow him".... Michael Saylor only became a Bitcoin believer in 2020 around the same time as Paul Tudor Jones

I've been in Bitcoin since 2013

Hey John; What is your idea of being defensive?

I agree the charts don't look good. But if u look at the history of it dropping 80% and fully recovering, it's a positive data point.

The liquidity draining is exactly why crypto and equities are dropping. It may just be that the Fed chooses to crash the economy in order to save the dollar. But this will just be short term. There is no future for fiat currencies. With an all out depression, nothing will save you. Many expect the printers to be turned back on, and maybe after this last cycle, fiat will never recover as all central banks are forced to think of something other than printing. The debt based system has run its course imo, and if crypto isn't what saves the day, I don't know what will.

Hey deaddog, how are you doing?

I was meaning to ask you, how do you manage your portfolio during this time?

I know you said you don't like to lose money, so are you holding hundreds of thousands of $ worth of cash in your accounts and only trade and always go back to cash?

    ---------

Been trying to deleverage. It's amazing how much "junk crypto assets" I have, lol, so been selling them out of the wallets

    • I will not be selling any Bitcoin
    • I've started selling some NFT's a couple of weeks ago but liquidity has gotten very very bad this week
    • I've got about $35-$40K of altcoins thinking of selling all for cash (US $). At least 50% will be sold within a week
    • I had a plan to acquire a certain amount of an altcoin (Apecoin), that plan is scrapped and been selling Apecoin and may end up with only a small position, if any
    • I'm yield farming, which provides a hobby to pass the time and get "passive income" gratification if I do not lose money. Small capital at risk only (see picture)
NFT price floors are dropping since there's hardly any volume, people get scared and keep undercutting the floor prices

I'm not selling the Bored Ape or the OtherSide metaverse land and want to keep my last mfer and Onchain Monkey, but those latter 2 are on the brink of being put up for sale since there is liquidity on both of them

    yield farming below:

The negative vibe you feel is the “FUD”, as you call it, that you cannot repress. It’s not coming from me.

About snide remarks, let’s be honest, you are on a trading site and at times you post some really dumb shit from a trader’s perspective. Maybe you are seeking a support group for buy and hodlers. On a public forum, being mocked comes with the territory.

In any case, good luck to you too.

No, bro, you sound like that asshole who has a chip on his shoulder on CNBC fast money, Josh Brown, who's always whining like a bitch and gloating at everyone's losses

Seriously, I don't know how we got here when a few weeks ago we were cordial and agreed you are not interested in Bitcoin and I am who I am and have always been here on the Crypto Assets forum for many years only posting positive info

Did I change? nope, as cringe and positive on Bitcoin and crypto assets as I've always been

Did you change? (no need to answer, I don't really care)

I do wish the best for you, you must be killing it with your short positions you said you were going to put a couple of weeks ago

I manage each position according to plan. The plan says not to hold any losers so I'm up to about 70% cash. Taking lots of small losses. Taking smaller and smaller starting positions with the intention of scaling in if the position moves in my direction. Energy and materials have been the bright spot.

My liquid net worth is down less than 2% since the beginning of the year.

I'm very happy for you, deaddog!!

The right play during this financial meltdown is energy and commodities. I believe it's going to continue

I was going to mention that it might be a good idea to have multiple accounts. Saw a thread here on ET that one guy's IBKR account got frozen with 6 figures

It's one advantage we have with crypto assets that we do not have to leave them on exchanges or centralized platforms, but I digress

[I do have 3 btc at Coinbase and altcoin CRO. I'm planning to sell all the CRO, so good riddance, lol. Not selling the 3 btc, only holding it there so my wife can liquidate and send cash to bank if something happens to me]

Geez Louise, you are clearly losing it. My comments have gotten under your skin, but I’m not the source of your problems.

And I think you have me mistaken for someone else. I don’t recall disclosing my trades or what I’m about to do. I mentioned to you that a generational bear market was underway. Maybe that’s the confusion.

The bottom line is, making money in any market is a game. If any single trade can affect your disposition, you are doing it wrong.
