instead of shorting oil y dont u guyz go long on airlines stock... they r down huge today a 3 to 5 dollar drop in oil could give 10 to 15 % in airline stock... esp AMR, LCC.
With high oil prices and the financials in trouble again it looks like the markets are bracing for the return of the bear.
Agree, last time oil spiked to new highs and airlines fell I bought AMR around $7.31 sold it around 8.50, then saw it jump to $10+, now is way back down and looking interesting again but some are talking possible bankruptcy within AMR and other airlines.
I wouldn't touch LCC, have friends who won't even apply for jobs there knowing the company may be in serious trouble.
