I am new to the crude oil future trading so I would like to ask someone with experience in trading the crude futures. When do you roll over to the next contract month? Is it at the last trading day or n days before the last trading day? I am looking at the light sweet crude oil futures trading on the NYMEX.
Volume on the April contract is running ahead of March as of today (i.e., I switch when the volume tells me to).
