Crooked specs and thin names

  1. Y'ver watch the trading in illiquid names on NYSE?

How come they can get away with manipulating the prints like that?

Just try to get some of those outlier prices they put up. you'll be dead of old age first.

I see stuff where no reasonable explanation would suffice, and they could easily be fined or worse for PAINTING THE TAPE

  2. What sort of thin names are you talking about?

  3. When IN Rome, do as the Romans do. Thin stocks are not for day nor even swing trading. They are for positions. Thin stocks do not provide the specialist with much in the way of order flow. So, he accumulates in miniscule increments and dumps into rallies (when the mice take the cheese). A mere 100 shs can and will establish a price point, and of course wide spreads.

    Fines? Yeah, right.

IF you don't like Rome, you might consider the Riviera, or something more liquid, like Atlantis.

  4. Yes, well , I don't think you understand what I'm talking about, so I'll leave it at that
