The aforementioned school renaming and distraction from school Covid planning etc.

So its sensible educated people being sensible. Well done, turns out wealthy communities are usually practically minded.

Now to get back to watching Wellington Paranormal. New Zealand's answer to the X-Files.

  3. Parents in the politically liberal city launched the recall effort in January 2021 out of frustration over the slow reopening of district schools, while the board pursued the renaming of 44 school sites and the elimination of competitive admissions at the elite Lowell High School.

Seems like proper parent frustration but no massive CRT movement since CRT was not being taught and was not an issue at all but just some board members putting their focus and attention in wrong areas.

Of course it may not, the real American dream is to stay in a dream.

Get past a certain age, the age related mental decline takes hold and you win.

Maybe you need to go read the Washington Post article in full. The parents were upset about a number of items. The equity and racial justice programs being pushed by school board members was one of the key items.

Nobody has ever said that there is not a looney fringe on the Left, it's much smaller but..

The lesson to learn is about how they, the fringe, are tackled and that they actually are handled which their equivalent no longer are by the US right. It does not mean that a very high average IQ wealthy community is suddenly thinking CRT is anything but the GOP long Southern Strategy etc.

Meanwhile in the rest of the world officers O'Leary and Minogue just had an unpleasant encounter with some corn like creatures in a corn field.

So in summary a large majority of parents in San Francisco - a very left leaning city -- voted to recall these three school board members who pushed a Woke agenda based on equity and racial justice. Parents are no longer going to put up with this Woke fringe nonsense.

Actually just the same parents who on average largely agree with the sentiments but not as extremely, not wasting money or ruining the name of an elite school they pay a lot of money for.

Its fallacious to try and connect your dick propagandist rantings with this.

Now I have to go back to designing the deck below the pool.

College faculty are fighting back against state bills on critical race theory

Appalled at efforts to limit what they can teach about race and other sensitive subjects, faculty leaders at prominent public universities around the countryhave rallied in recent weeks behind resolutions to reaffirm academic freedom and denounce legislation that would undermine it

These declarations show that the heated debate over state regulation of lessons on race, centered so far largely on K-12 public schools, is rapidly expanding onto college campuses. In this case it pits politicians, mainly Republicans, who depict themselves as guardians of objectivity concerning “divisive concepts,” against professors who say the state has no business meddling in the content of lectures, syllabi and seminars.

The latest skirmish has erupted in Texas.

On Monday, the Faculty Council of the University of Texas at Austin approved, on a 41-to-5 vote with three abstentions, a resolution rejecting “any attempts by bodies external to the faculty to restrict or dictate the content of university curriculum on any matter, including matters related to racial and social justice.” The resolution said the council will “stand firm against any and all encroachment” on faculty authority, including by the legislature.

Afterward, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) denounced the resolution. “I will not stand by and let looney Marxist UT professors poison the minds of young students with Critical Race Theory,” he wrote in a tweet. “We banned it in publicly funded K-12 and we will ban it in publicly funded higher ed.” On Friday, Patrick said he would support ending the job-protection measure known as tenure for professors who teach critical race theory.

Good, we must push back against anti-education forces that would have us back in the dark ages.
