This is excellent evidence of which party enjoys being the sheep. The party that wants to be told what to believe, what to do, and what they should think. The other party would like a say in the discussion. As would independents.
Seeing that every state has a State Board of Education working group which defines the curriculum for every subject at every grade level --- it is really not up to the parents or the local school board. If you want curriculum change then vote for state leaders will drive that change. Most states have direct elections for the "State Superintendent of Public Instruction" or a similarly named position. At the local level -- they are merely fighting over if school systems should use CRT-based lesson plans to apply the curriculum.
